2017 DISCOVERY DAY SCHOOLS
JOIN tree frog treks for our planet earth explorer program! this fall, we will discover what makes earth so special by going on an imagination exploration and learning about all the diverse plants and animals that live here. from the amazon rainforest to the sahara desert, from our most remote parts of the arctic to the depths of the ocean floor, we will learn about the many different habitats on our planet, and the special adaptations that creatures have developed in order to survive.
What's more is that Discovery Day school programs get kids outside and into nature! With the outdoors as our classroom, we will be surrounded by learning opportunities at every turn. We aim to cultivate curiosity and foster an appreciation for the natural world through student-driven learning and hands- on exploration. At Tree Frog Treks, kids will develop their powers of observation, make fun take-home art projects and come face-to-face with some of our live animal ambassadors, such as frogs, salamanders, lizards and snakes!
Discovery Day Schools are weekly* two-hour science and nature exploration programs in local parks around the Bay Area. Our classes offer low naturalist-to student ratio and we inspire a love of the natural world and learning through live contact with rescued reptile and amphibians. All our lead teachers have college degrees and have been thoroughly trained to teach our curriculum and introduce children to live reptiles and amphibians. *bi-monthly programs also available
