Winter Camp
Nature Detectives:
Experiments & Adventures Outdoors During Winter Break!

This year's Winter Camp will be better than ever with two experienced naturalists leading the campers through amazing adventures in Golden Gate Park and beyond. The camp theme is "Nature Detectives," where campers will get ready to go on a great expedition to the far north following the klondike trails in search of wild worlds. We will build a fort, climb a tree, hold a bug & smell the sea. We will study chemistry and conservation, physics and physical fitness. We will go bird watching, animal tracking and adventuring far and wide leaving no child inside. Special appearances will be made throughout the week by our director, Mr. Science, with his wacky experiments and presentations.
Students will adventure throughout Golden Gate Park and Lands End Coastal Trail. We will primarily be exploring on foot with one Muni ride (5 Fulton) to Sutro Park Trailhead and back to Frog Hall at 2114 Hayes Street. So grab your galoshes, wind breaker and hat, and be prepared to GET OUT and GET DIRTY every day. Rain or shine! Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to attend!
