RED, WHITE & OCEAN BLUE camp
GET OUT AND GET WET AT LANDS END AND OCEAN BEACH! THE SEA IS CALLING - SO PUT ON YOUR MARINE BIOLOGIST HAT, GRAB YOUR BINOCULARS, AND SPECIMEN JARS, AND LET'S HIT THE COAST FOR SOME SCIENCE FUN! JOIN US AS WE EXPLORE AMAZING PLACES LIKE SUTRO BATHS, LANDS END TRAIL AND OCEAN BEACH.
Join our knowledgeable Naturalists as we explore the coast in search of native snakes, lizards, frogs, salamanders, birds, and mammals! Maybe a Harbor seal, California sea lion or Cetacean will swim by us on one of our hikes! During this marine-focused camp session, campers will explore local tide pools, meet live animals, perform fun experiments and build leadership and critical thinking skills through adventuring in nature with peers and instructors. We will be traveling the coast line, identifying native plants and birds, finding garter snakes, red crabs, anemones and more. We will play games and tell stories to bring this area of our city's history to life for our campers. We will weave our stewardship mission into all our adventures too, developing campers' responsibility for our city and local wildlife!
