Carbon Kids care Fall 2026

Join Mr. Science for a program of hands-on adventures!

From paddle boarding at Crane Cove to leading “Frog Mob” animal times, kids will learn, explore, and take action - making a splash in our community!

Schedule:

Day/Time: Thursdays, from August 27th to October 15th

Drop-off: 3:45-4:00 PM at Frog Hall

Pick-up: 6:00-6:15 PM at Holly Park Picnic Area

Ages & Group Size:

Open to students in 5th–8th grade

Group size: Maximum 8 students

Cost: $45 per day/ $360 per session

Program Overview:

Each Thursday, adventurers will:

  • Meet Live Animals at Frog Hall.

  • Travel in the Green Machine van with Mr. Science at the wheel.

  • Explore San Francisco’s diverse natural wonders, from Holly Park and Glen Canyon to Heron’s Head Marsh and Crane Cove and beyond.

  • Lead “Frog Mob” Animal Times — bringing Animal Ambassadors into the community for hands-on education and outreach.

  • Special Experiences planned:

    • Water Adventures at Crane Cove.

    • Stand-up paddle boarding, boogie boarding, and kayaking.

    • Stewardship projects helping local plants and animals thrive.

  • Civic Engagement activities:

    • A special trip to Civic Center Plaza and City Hall to meet civic representatives and lead a Frog Mob animal time in the heart of San Francisco.
