Tree Frog Treks animal care apprenticeship program- fall 2026
Go behind the scenes at Frog Hall, learning what it takes to care for our wide array of Animal Ambassadors!
Apprentices dive into a hands-on Animal Husbandry 101 course where they help with feeding, habitat care, enrichment, gentle handling, and other daily routines that keep our Animal Ambassadors happy and healthy. Along the way they tackle real projects-designing enrichment items, building simple habitats, and tracking care logs-that build practical skills and confidence.
Apprentices also plug into the Tree Frog Treks community, working alongside experienced staff and fellow nature nerds to share techniques, swap stories, and deepen their commitment to animal welfare. By the end, they’ve gained not just competence in everyday care, but a stronger understanding of conservation practices and the ethics that guide responsible wildlife stewardship.

Open to Grades: 4th-8th Grades
