Tree Frog Treks teaches fun interactive after school and in class science enrichment programs that introduce kids to concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and natural history. Our programs allow students to meet live reptiles and amphibians face-to-face. Wild Science is about holding live rescued reptiles and amphibians like Digger the Kenyan Sand Boa and Clark the Western Toad, examining amazing specimens like a musk ox skull or mixing up your own vat of slime. It’s about Getting Out and Getting Dirty in nature, climbing a tree, smelling a flower, or flipping over a log to see what’s living underneath it.  

We explore science and practice critical thinking through hands-on experiments and outdoor adventures, and inspire a love of nature and learning through contact with live rescued reptiles and amphibians. By taking students out of the conventional classroom and bringing them into contact with the nature in their own back yard, Tree Frog Treks creates a lasting connection between students and the natural world, and seeks to engender a life-long passion for science and the outdoors. We encourage students to be empowered self-directed learners, to think like scientists and to share their discoveries with others.

Tree Frog Treks offers a variety of flexible visit options tailored to fit your schedule and curriculum needs—whether it’s a one-time visit, a two-part adventure, a special event, or a recurring enrichment program.

When we roll up onsite, expect an immersive 1-2 hour session led by our expert Naturalists, bringing along 4-6 of our charismatic Animal Ambassadors—think live rescued reptiles and amphibians ready to amaze and educate! We kick off with a quick intro and a safety talk before diving into the nitty-gritty: habitats, diets, cool adaptations, quirky animal facts, and sensory learning activities that get students up close and personal with nature like never before.

Our programs are fully customizable to spark interest and match the specific age group—Pre-K through High School. Whether your students are budding scientists or curious explorers, we tailor the content to their developmental level and excitement.
