Tree Frog Treks' Mohave Desert Trek April 3 2016 - April 7, 2016
Mr. Science will be leading a very special Mojave
Desert Trek to Zzyzx CA and surrounding desert areas! We will drive down
in our new GREEN MACHINE, a Ford Transit Diesel High Top van, where
everyone has their own Captain¹s seat. Campers will stay in nice indoor
accommodations (David Attenborough stayed here!) at the Zzyzx Desert
Studies Center and have three full days to explore the Mojave with Mr. Science, who knows the
desert like the back of his hand. All lodging, food, and transportation are included! In the last two years we found Desert Iguanas, Golden Eagles, Horned Lizards, the endangered Desert Tortoise, and even a Sidewinder!
A beautiful Mohave Sidewinder rests in a burrow. One of the many fantastic species we may encounter in the desert!
We will explore the natural wonders of the area and learn about Petroglyphs, Volcano Tubes, the Singing Sand Dunes, conduct research on the local flora and fauna, and so much more!
