🌿 Program FAQs

What happens if it rains or there is inclement weather?

Our programs run rain or shine! We ask that you send your student prepared for the weather! In the event of rain or intense weather, our Naturalists utilize nearby indoor and covered spaces such as public libraries, local museums, and natural shelters (like redwood groves) to stay dry while still offering engaging, active programming.

We may also be able to use space on campus, depending on school access. If weather requires a change in plans-such as a modified agenda or pickup location-we always communicate updates to families via email ahead of time whenever possible.

We do not replace programming with screen time or videos- campers stay active, curious, and engaged.

Can my child attend a day they are not enrolled in?

Yes, you can add a Drop-In Day participation for your child! We ask that you give our team ample notice for these Drop In requests- we must have your camper/family information on file for drop in days. We can only accommodate additional drop in days if we have the appropriate staff to student ratio.

How many children are in each group? What are the staff ratios?

We maintain small group sizes with experienced Naturalists:

  • Max 6 campers per 1 staff

These ratios allow us to provide attentive supervision and meaningful connections with each camper.

What if I register and later find the program isn’t a good fit?

We do have a cancellation policy that goes into effect once programming begins.

When space allows, we are happy to help with:

  • Switching enrollment days

  • Transfers

  • Other adjustments

Our goal is to support families and find solutions whenever possible.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes! We offer:

  • Financial assistance through our Scholarship Program. Please fill out a form (above) and return to Info@TreeFrogTreks.com.

Please reach out to our office and let us know what option works best for your family- we’d love to help make participation possible.

Who can I contact if I still have questions?

We’re always happy to help! You’re welcome to:

  • Email us with additional questions

  • Schedule a call to talk through logistics and fit
