It’s so great to be back at the Bay Area Discovery Museum!! This week’s theme is “On the Road to Adventure Land!” Here is what happened at camp:
Today’s theme was “Adventuring 101″ and we did just that. The campers learned about their 5 senses and how we use them in every day life and in exploration. We started the day with name games and other team building activities then played a game called “Using Our Senses.” In this game, the teachers put different items in a cup and the kids had to guess what it was using all of their senses.
This week the campers are going to be making their very own nature journals using paper, yarn, stickers, stamps, and other art supplies. Each day the campers will draw pictures of what they learned or something that they saw in nature! At the end of the week, the campers will be able to bring their journals home to show you everything they learned!!
Animals presented today: Declan the Corn Snake, Sneaky the Kansas Glossy Snake, Roaches, Clark the Western Toad, Macchiatto the Florida King Snake (see image), and Rita the Leopard Gecko.
