Looking for a fun and educational way to spend the winter break with your little ones? Look no further than Tree Frog Treks' Winter Break Camps in local San Francisco Parks!
From December to April we invite children aged 5 to 12 to explore the wonders of nature while engaging in stimulating learning experiences. Our experienced instructors will guide campers through hands-on science experiments, outdoor adventures, and interactive activities tailored to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for the natural world.
Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, our camp locations within the city's beautiful parks provide the perfect backdrop for exploration and discovery. Participants will have the opportunity to observe and interpret the diverse flora and fauna, discover local habitats, and deepen their understanding of environmental conservation.
At Tree Frog Treks, we believe that learning should be a joyful journey. Frog Hall sessions meet at our head office at 3835 Mission Street (near Crescent Ave.) Most of our animals are kept here! Campers have time in the morning to meet the animals, hold them, feed them and learn all about them. Then the group heads to a nearby destination via BMW (bus/muni/walk) to check out the turf, play a game, dig some dirt and so much more! Unless otherwise noted, campers will return to Frog Hall at the end of the camp day.
Holly Park sessions meet at Holly Park and go by BMW (bus/muni/walk) to some exciting destinations throughout SF. Past locations have included Fort Funston, Lands End, Bernal Heights, Golden Gate Park & Presidio Tunnel Tops Park. Campers will also visit Frog Hall for animal time or take an animal with them for the day. This camp is highly mobile.
Mountain Lake Park is nestled amidst the urban oasis of the Presidio, Mountain Lake offers a unique and immersive camp experience like no other. With Mountain Lake as our canvas, we are eager to introduce campers to the wonders of this vibrant ecosystem, where every day brings new discoveries. From observing the behaviors of elusive Western pond turtles to identifying the diverse bird life that migrates through the area, campers will gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all living things.
