Tree Frog Treks is partnering with Dolores Huerta Elementary to return for another after-school program for the Winter 2025 to Spring 2026 school year session. This program will offer students exciting hands-on experiences in science and nature, fostering curiosity and exploration through engaging activities and outdoor adventures, but is mainly guided by letting kids be wild and free outside!

  • Location:

    The program will take place off site at a local Holly Park with a designated day during the week at Tree Frog Treks' “Frog Hall” (3835 Mission St). Enrolled students will be picked up from Dolores Huerta School and then will be mobile (“BMW” bus/muni/walk) and head out to explore nearby areas of interest until pickup window time which will be at local Holly Park or Tree Frog Treks Frog Hall.

  • Schedule:

    Dismissal and pickup at Dolores Huerta at 2:55pm except Wednesdays pickup at 1:40pm.

    D.H. participants head out to local SF parks and areas of interest based on the weeks agenda before heading to the allocated pickup location for end of the day.

  • We will be running two grade groups: K-1st and 2nd-5th.

  • Pickup window is from 5:30 to 6:00 PM at Holly Park (M,W,F) and Frog Hall (T,Th: K-1 Frog Hall Day is Tuesday & 2nd-5th group Frog Hall Day is Thursday).

  • A weekly Agenda will be sent to give parents/guardians an overview of the weekly activities, locations and needed items - subject to change.

  • Dates:

    Monday January 5th 2026 - May 29th 2026.

    Program runs Monday through Friday.
    Closure Dates:

    • 1/19 MLK Holiday

    • 2/16 Presidents Day

    • 2/17 Lunar New Year,

    • March 27th-April 3rd Spring Break

    • May 25th Memorial Day.

      * Early Release Schedule for parent teacher conference week- March 2nd-6th. 1:40 PM release all week.

  • Participants:

    K through 5th grade students from Dolores Huerta School.

    *Two groups will be running for program, K-1st Grades & 2nd-5th Grades.

Program cost is $35/day. Payment plans available during registration process.

  • Mondays only $595

  • Tuesdays only $665

  • Wednesdays only $700

  • Thursdays only $700

  • Fridays only $665

  • Full week session (M-F full term): $3,325.00

    - Payment Installments (4) available.

Families will have the choice of enrolling their children for partial week or full-time (all 5 days). We urge full week participants/families be mindful that you are signing up for being outside 5 days a week, doing a variety of activities including hiking, art and crafts, science and nature projects, hands on animal time with varying groups each day.

-Minimum daily participation of at least 5 students required for pick up from Dolores Huerta.

-Registration is first come first served.

-Sign up with friends! If there are not at least five students enrolled on a certain day, TFT will not be offered that day. For example if only 3 students sign up on Fridays, then Fridays will not be available until at least two additional students register.
